However the flexibility range of the OmegaM exceeds that of its predecessors. The unique "saddle-like" column construction permits a (horizontal) longitudinal movement of 46 cm; also the lowest height (inclusive) special cushions can be lowered to 59,5 cm above the ground, whilst in combination with PUUR visco-elastic cushion material can be raised to a level of 131.5 cm above the ground. Further, all other table positions are more extreme compared with its adversories, e.g. Trendelberg of 45 degrees angle and Anti-Trendelberg of 80 degrees. All these assets contribute towards the convenience of the medical staff. The perfectly coordinated modular design of the operating table surface creates functions and positioning possibilities which make both micro-surgery and major operations far simpler and more flexible. For both out-patient and in-patient surgery, the table system is designed ergonomically, to allow relaxed working and maximum patient comfort. In combination with the innovative inclining saddle technology used in the table column, the extreme positioning possibilities and superb cushioning concept, this creates an overall system that meets tomorrow's requirements today.
Operating table column designed to accept table tops which are compatible with this operating table system. The operating table column allows table top transfer from either end, with the head or feet first, as desired. The orientation of the table top on the column is recognized automatically and the function keys on the control units are assigned accordingly. The mounting point between the system components - operating table column, table top and transporter - ensures safe table top transfer. The table tops are locked on the column, automatically and safely, with electronic monitoring.
The motor-driven movements of the operating table system are controlled via IR hand control Corded hand control.

Two splash-proof sockets are provided for simultaneous connection of the corded hand control and the foot switch.
Stationary operating table column, which can be swiveled through approx. 350Â° and fixed in any position.
Mobile operating table column, the column can be moved together with the operating table surface using a transporter and placed wherever it is needed. The power supply is via maintenance-free batteries which are integrated into the foot of the stand. Supply sufficient for at least one operating theater week.
Intuitive operation â€“ easier than ever: the new manual operating device with its own display makes operation easier with its intuitive use of symbols. The basic functions are easily recognized straight away. Additional functions, such as the facility for storing and reproducing up to ten patient positions or keypad illumination for working in darkened MIC rooms, make this operating table even simpler to use. Interim storage (e.g. with intra-operative use of the C arm in the flat position) and return to the operating position are also possible. Another new feature is the back-lit keypad area which makes working in darkened MIC rooms much easier. With infrared or cable connection, the manual control guarantees that the operating table system can be controlled reliably at all times, even in critical phases of the operation.
Easy Remote navigation â€“ to change positioning surfaces in no time at all: in the operating theater in articular, time is of crucial importance economically too. Newly developed interfaces make fast, error-free positioning configurations much easier. Leg or head plates, for example, can simply be lowered from above, using gravity. A gentle â€śclickâ€ť indicates that they have slotted securely into place â€“ without any awkward screwing or twisting. OmegaM is suitable for all surgical interventions. Because of its perfect height adjustment, the operating table surface helps surgeons to relax during their work, whether sitting or standing. Ultra-wide adjustment ranges, especially for tipping and tiling, simplify and optimize patient positioning. This means that the system is more practical than ever before.
