Mercedes 115 CDI Vito Raised Hood

Due the large success and global acceptance of the earlier version of the (416, 316 CDI and 315 CDI) versions, the new 120 CDI Vito has entered in the ambulance arena with the 4 cylinder 204 HP Turbo Diesel motor with a standard interior height of 1350 mm.

(This 120 CDI ambulance motor is also from the same version motor for the 115 CDI variant, identical motor volume of 2.148 Liter deploying 5-speed automatic with Tiptronic gear train, but develops a huge torque of 440 Nm at 1800 to 2400 rpm, with a maximum speed of 123 mph; though this motor is not used for the "raised hood" ambulance).

The "raised hood" shown in these photos corresponds to a 150 HP motor (CDI 115),with a larger interior height of 1760 mm to improve patient movement by the paramedics mobility.

This 115 CDI Vito ambulance type is characteristic of safe and luxurious transport, to and fro between hospital and residence.
