Dräger Flexible Operating Rooms
OR system for the most stringent demands
The multifunctional OPERA® system from Dräger Medical was specially developed for use in the modern OR. OPERA® combines important modular components into an individual and flexible OR system.
The OPERA® system supports the laminar flow of ceiling air supply from different manufacturers. This combined system creates a homogeneous zone with a low germ concentration. The ergonomic media supply unit provides excellent access to all required media. Medical equipment and accessories can be positioned as needed on the equipment carrier systems. In addition, the extensive integrated lighting system allows for optimal adaptation to current needs. OPERA® systems are used in almost all surgical fields.
Naturally, all OPERA® systems meet the relevant EU guidelines and standards.
OPERA® at a glance:
– *low germ concentration through low-turbulence displacement air flow
– *noise level (< 48 dBA)
– ergonomic media supply system with extensive accessories
– flexible positioning of the equipment carriers
– functional lighting: modern Dräger OR lights and various ambient lighting systems
– comfortable room climate for OR personnel.
*depending on selected ceiling air supply
High air quality with low germ concentration
System description
The ceiling air supply of different manufacturers uses approx. 30% fresh air and approx. 70% circulated air. It consists of an air distribution box in the false ceiling where the fresh and circulated air is mixed.
The air flows through large sterile filters and the laminar flow box. It then enters the OR area as low-turbulence displacement air flow. This protected zone has a low germ level.
The circulation ventilators draw room air at the ceiling outside the box-shaped air duct skirt through filter systems and direct it to the air distribution box.
Features
These ceiling air supply systems meet high hygienic and ambient air technology specifications for OR air filtering and distribution.
By using directly supplied circulating air, these systems can accommodate large OR fields without needing extensive air-duct systems or large-volume air conditioning units.
The laminar flow box creates a low-turbulence displacement air flow. The OPERA® media supply system, together with a box-shaped laminated safety glass cover ensures stable air flow up to a height of pprox. 2m.
Variable dimensions
The standard size (from practical experience) is 3,200 x 3,200 mm. In addition, possibility to offer all intermediate sizes from 2,600 to 3,600 mm. Individual dimensions can be ordered on request.
Media units and equipment carrier systems
Comprehensive supply in the smallest of space
The media supply units of the OPERA® system are available as 3-sided and 4-sided beam systems. Both system variants have rounded corners and edges. Equipment can be placed on both of the ergonomically inclined sides and new components added as needed. The media supply unit is a Class II b medical device and meets DIN EN ISO 11197 standards.
Complete flexibility
The use of the OPERA® rotating corner allows the equipment trolley to switch sides, depending on the workplace requirements and thus to flexibly position the equipment carrier across all supply beams – wherever they may be needed.
Equipment carrier systems for medical devices and accessories can be integrated both into the lower and side sliding rails of the media supply unit. The high load capacity of 1500 N for the underside equipment carriers allows flexible positioning of a broad range of technical equipment.
Everything you need for a comfortable workplace
The large selection of multifunctional accessories allows you to create optimal working conditions for anesthesia and surgery in every OR. With the OPERA® system you can use the many workstation components to custom-design your own system solution, which can always be upgraded at a later date.
Hygiene
Smooth, easy-to-clean surfaces meet all hygienic requirements.
Economic efficiency and innovative lighting technology
Optimal lighting plays a significant role in an efficiently designed OR. In order for the OR team to always have comfortable lighting conditions for the entire range of surgical interventions, offering a complete program of technically advanced and modular OR lights.
Sola and Stella
The Sola series uses classic halogen lighting and thus combines proven and reliable technology with economic appeal.
The Stella OR light uses gas discharge technology, providing surgeons with even more brilliant light for improved visualization.
Both the Stella and Sola lighting systems can be supplemented with the MedView video system which can transmit and record the events in the OR. Both system light heads have good flow properties and are therefore suitable for low- turbulence displacement air flow.
Room lighting
The OPERA® system always delivers optimal light distribution with its special lighting technology. This includes the high-intensity ceiling-mounted OR ambient light.
For special surgical techniques, the media beams have integrated indirect lighting (also available as a dimmer). Even when the OR is not in use, the night light can maintain minimal ambient lighting.
